SHU Women’s Golf Moves Up Two Spots In Final Round Of Kingsmill Intercollegiate


WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Sacred Heart University’s women’s golf team moved up two spots on the leaderboard to 16th after the third round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. For the tournament, SHU shot a total of 974, good enough for 110 over par.

Chelsea Sedlar ended the tournament tied for 21st after a carding a 77 in her third round, which leaves her at 16-over par between the two days. Abby Hood moved up six spots and is alone in 63rd at 28-over par after a third round total of 81. Ellen Nighbor finished the tournament tied for 70th at 31-over par after shooting an 85 in her third round. Stephanie Lowe finished in 86th at 38-over par for the tournament, while Alejandra Perez rounded out the team scoring for Sacred Heart tied for 89th at 43-over par. The lone individual competitor for SHU, Meagan Bonner, placed 95th after a third round score of 93 to finish at 49-over par for the tournament.

Sacred Heart finished just behind NEC rival Wagner, who ended the tournament six strokes better than the Pioneers. Toledo held onto first place at 44-over par, and Pennsylvania, William and Mary, Boston University, and Delaware round out the top five.
