Storm Falls In Portland; Loses To Steel, 68-35


Portland, OR – The Tampa Bay Storm (1-8, 0-4) were defeated by the Portland Steel (1-8, 0-5) by a score of 68-35 in front of 5,126 fans at the Moda Center.  The night saw Storm wide receiver T.T. Toliver surpass 15,000 career receiving yards.

Toliver led all receivers with 10 receptions for 140 yards and two touchdowns.  He has 15,108, needing just 27 yards to surpass Damian Harrell (15,134) to become the Arena Football League’s All-Time Leader in receiving yards.

Steel quarterback Shane Austin led the offense, completing 19-of-26 passes for 139 yards and five touchdowns.  He would also rush six times for nine yards and two scores.

Portland’s defense was the key its victory with two forced fumbles and two interceptions.  Shaine Boyle led the team with 9.5 tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams.
