Mother Nature is not a tennis fan this year.

Rain rain go away, so some tennis they can play.

Why does it seem that whenever I find the time to kick back and enjoy the U.S. Open, it's on a weather delay? Then I get stuck watching re-runs of tennis games from yesteryear, as far back as 1991. Granted, some games were good and so far only one I wouldn't really care to watch. But that's besides the point. Is Mother Nature hating on tennis this year? Can we not have so many delays? I want to witness the finals before I get old and forget the meaning of the game (and how to understand the complex scoring). I did get to see a couple of games, like Oudin's last game. I wasn't paying attention in the early rounds, and this is probably what I get.

One thing that really bothers me about weather delays of any kind, is that I no longer know when the game will be played. Never mind the fact I got the idea I was going to watch said game or made the time; now I have to wonder when the game will be on and will I remember by then to catch it? I'm just glad I don't have work or anything today.

Here's to hoping for fewer weather delays; a Federer v. Nadal final; and at least one Williams sister winning something.
