Arizona Assassins Going the WFA League
August 13, 2009The Arizona Assassins was officially unveiled today as the name of the newest team in the Women's Football Alliance. The Assassins are one of 46 teams in the WFA, the nation's preeminent women's professional football league. Established in 2009, the Assassins are committed to bringing outstanding professional football to a diverse and rapidly growing fan base.
The team simultaneously revealed it's logo and colors as the countdown to the 2010 season continues. "This is a special day for our devoted fan base and the people of the greater Phoenix region. Were incredibly fortunate to have fans who understand the power of loyalty and unity, and our team identity draws its inspiration from them," said a representative for the Assassins.
The Arizona Assassins will be hosting tryouts soon. With the level of experience this team will possess, we look to win the West Division in 2010 and continue deep into the playoffs.
