NCAA Football: Boise State Takes On Central Michigan In The Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl

Boise State recently completed its 24th consecutive bowl eligible season, the third-longest streak in the country, and will take on Central Michigan in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl at noon MT Friday, Dec. 31, in Tucson’s Arizona Stadium. For Central Michigan, it’s the 13th bowl appearance and 11th in the last 16 years.

Boise State enters the game at 7-5, a record that includes victories over No. 10 BYU (27-17) and No. 25 Fresno State (40-14). The Broncos, from the Mountain West Conference, are 10-3 vs. Mid-American Conference teams since 1974, and are currently on a 10-game win streak against teams from the conference which Central Michigan resides.

The Chippewas (8-4) have met Boise State five times previously, holding a slim 3-2 edge. But the Broncos have won the last two meetings, a a 26-10 victory in 2001 and a 47-10 triumph in 2000. The teams have met once before in the postseason with the Chippewas coming away with a 20-6 victory in the 1974 Division II playoff quarterfinals.
